Day 5
After years of attending church and being very involved, 2 years ago myself and my family started coming to Champions Church. We loved the welcome, the fellowship, the worship and the quality of teaching.
All of this to me was just simply the glitz and glam of a well-organised church. Or at least, that’s what I first thought!
It wasn’t until I began attending Men’s Prayer on a Tuesday morning, that I realised what was truly happening. Champions Church had discovered a simple teaching that Paul taught in 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18:
‘Rejoice always, pray continually, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.’
Here I was, surrounded by men, really seeking God, praying and rejoicing. This for me was not the usual church vibe that I was accustomed to. My church upbringing was the women prayed and rejoiced and the men maintained order (bystanders!).
Then came MANKIND! My mind was already blown by this radical movement of men coming together every week to pray. I attended MANKIND for the first time last year and I was simply blown away.
The whole way through the Bible, there are clear narratives about priestly men, standing firm on the word of God. At MANKIND 2025, I found myself surrounded by an army of priests. Please don’t get me wrong, I’m not talking about whimsical men flouncing about with tambourines. These were the priests of the Bible who prayed, stood strong, struggled, fell, got back up, fought, doubted themselves, struggled with loneliness, feelings of inadequacy, BUT never let go of God or their purpose.
This is what MANKIND is about: praying, standing strong, struggling, falling, getting back up, fighting the good fight of faith, doubting ourselves, struggling with loneliness, feelings of inadequacy at points, BUT never ever letting go of God or our purpose.
What a movement and what a time to be part of MANKIND 2026!
This year will be better than ever. This is your opportunity to get connected with the MANKIND Priesthood and be a part of the greatest movement ever! Get booked in, don’t miss out!
