Day 6

MANKIND ministry to me is more than a group of men turning up to pray, or a WhatsApp group. It’s a genuine band of brothers who keep me accountable, allow me to be vulnerable and who encourage me in my faith.

Each year we get the opportunity to come together for 48 hours at the MANKIND Ranch to recalibrate our lives. Many of us can be moving forward, working hard and carrying responsibility but we’re quietly unsure if we’re still aligned to what truly matters.

A compass doesn’t break all at once - it drifts slowly away from true north. Life can be like that too. A few degrees off in priorities. A slow shift in focus from purpose to pressure. A gradual replacement of conviction with convenience. The dangerous part of this is we keep moving but we don’t realise we are off course.

That’s why recalibration matters. A compass doesn’t recalibrate itself by trying harder, it realigns itself to true north by removing interference. In the same way, we need moments where we can step away from the noise and interference of life and come back to what’s real and what’s from God.

Romans 12:2 is my favourite scripture. It says: ‘Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.’

That’s recalibration.

It’s not about becoming someone else, it’s about becoming aligned again. Letting God reset your thinking, your direction and your priorities. Not because you have failed, but because drifting is part of being human.

I personally need this each year. I get to a point every 12 months where I feel pressure. I allow my emotions to take control of me. I can become tired, angry and sometimes just not a nice person to be around. So what do I do? I make an investment into myself to get to MANKIND Conference to be recalibrated and renewed. One of my favourite parts is where we write our burdens on a block of wood and then burn them as an act of letting them go, handing them over to Jesus.

Romans 12:2 tells me to be transformed. This isn’t a destination but a continual process of looking at myself, having trusted people speak into my life and using that feedback to get back on track - recalibrated. MANKIND Conference is the place for me to get realigned with like-minded men. Each year I have turned up, I’ve left feeling encouraged and empowered. I have had prophecies spoken over me that come to pass. I feel closer to Jesus than I did 48 hours prior.

MANKIND has made me the man I am today. It’s pulled me back from the brink. It’s allowed me to be vulnerable rather than bottling it up. Jesus is the complete reason and the men are there to lift my arms up and keep my eyes fixed on Him.

The calling of MANKIND Conference isn’t to just keep moving - it’s to move in the right direction.

To lead with clarity.
To live with conviction.
To think with purpose.

This will only happen if your mind is aligned.

So if you’re reading this, I want to challenge you. Take a moment to recalibrate.

Step away from the noise.
Book into conference.
Let God reshape and recalibrate you.
